Albert James Maddox

A memorial service for Mr. Albert James Maddox, Jr. will be held

Saturday, April 9, 2005 at 11 AM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown

Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC with Reverend Doug Puckett officiating.

Mr. Maddox, 76, of Aiken, SC, died Tuesday, night, April 5, 2005 at his home.

Born in Tallassee, AL, a son of the late Albert James Maddox, Sr. and the late

Dolores Maddox, Mr. Maddox had been a resident of Aiken, SC since 1952 where he

retired from Dupont in 1989 and Westinghouse in 1991. He was a member of St.

Paul?s Episcopal Church, Graniteville, SC. He was a 1949 graduate of Auburn

University and proudly served his country in the United States Army where he

obtained the rank of Captain.

He is survived by his wife of over fifty-years, Anita P. Maddox, son, Brian

Todd Kate Maddox, Fox River Grove, IL; daughters, Erin Mike Groh, Mt.

Pleasant, SC and Tinalea John Hamilton, Corpus Christi, TX; brother, Robert

Earl ?Buck? Ann Maddox, Swansea, SC; and six grandchildren Samantha and

Sydney Maddox, Hunter and Patrick Hamilton, Kelly and Todd Groh.
