Aldredge Emmerson Baughman

Aldredge Emmerson Baughman, 73, of Leesville, SC faded into the gentle sleep of death Tuesday evening, December 28, 2021 shortly after the birth of his 6th great-grandchild. And in that very moment opened his eyes in his new eternal home with his Heavenly Father who he had served so faithfully.

Mr. Baughman was born on March 27, 1948, a son of the late David G. & Gladys Chaflinch Baughman. He was a retired carpenter and was a member of the New Day Church of God in Gilbert, SC.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Kathy Wall Baughman; 2 daughters and sons-in-law; Hope & Craig McAlister and Rennie & Charlie Smith both of Aiken; 2 sisters, Diane Grey and Susan Seigler both of Aiken; 2 brothers, Sherman Baughman and Randy Baughman both of Aiken; 5 grandchildren, Bryan McAlister, Stephanie J. Goudy, Timmy Barnes, Makayla Gunter & John Michael McAlister; 6 great-grandchildren, Abby, Kingston, Kenny, Elijah, Conner & Mason.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at 3:00p.m. at the Historic George Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5:00p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 1, 2022 at the Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803) 649-6234.

God’s promise for Mr. Baughman was fulfilled Tuesday evening at 6:08pm when the Holy scriptures tell us in 2nd Corinthians 5:8 that “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”
