Alison L. Roberts, 43, died Monday at her home in Aiken after a long illness.
Mrs. Roberts was a native of Jackson, Mississippi, and a 1977 graduate of Calloway High School in Jackson. She attended the University of Mississippi in Oxford.
She is survived by her husband, Mark A. Roberts, M. D., of Aiken, and her children George Russell Currey, 17, and Olivia Grace Currey, 12, both of Irmo. She is also survived by stepchildren Kate Roberts of Auburn, Alabama, and Christopher Roberts of Montgomery, Alabama. Other survivors include her parents, Tom and Jean Long of Jackson, Mississippi, and her siblings, Enid Machen of Saucier, Mississippi, and Tommy Long of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by a nephew, Matthew Yonko, of Saucier, Mississippi.
George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC is in charge of the arrangements. The body was cremated.
Visitation is scheduled for 1 p. m. Saturday, September 25, at St. Columbs Episcopal Church in Jackson, with a memorial service following there at 2 p. m. At the request of the family, please memorials in memory of Alison to the A.S.P.C.A. 401 Wire Rd., Aiken, SC 29803.
