Allene Patricia Craig

Funeral services for Mrs. Allene Patricia Craig will be held Saturday, July 26, 2003 at 2 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC, with Reverend Dr. W.C. Lowe officiating. Interment will follow in the Montmorenci Baptist Church Cemetery, Montmorenci, SC. The family will receive friends Friday, July 25, 2003 from 7-9 PM at the residence of Della Kay Siry, 2653 Edgefield Hwy, Trenton, SC. Mrs. Craig, of Montmorenci, SC, wife of Mr. Luther C. Craig, Jr., died Wednesday, afternoon, July 23, 2003 at St. Joseph Hospital, Augusta, GA.

Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Bertha Barton Johnson, she was a former secretary at Aiken Technical College. She was a member of Redds Branch Baptist Church and had played the organ and piano at various churches.

In addition to her husband Luther C. Craig, Jr., a daughter, Della Kay Siry, Trenton, SC;son, Tony Craig, Windsor, SC; sister, Maurine Grice, Aiken, SC; and grandsons, Zeth and Cole Siry,brother-in-law, Michael Craig and sister-in-law, Jackie Godwin, survive. A son, Charles Allen Howard preceded her in death.

The family has requested the memorials in memory of Mrs. Craig be made to the American Lung Association, 1817 Gadsden St., Columbia, SC 29201.
