Amy O'Litha Smith Burt

Funeral services for Mrs. Amy O?litha Smith Burt will be held Friday, January 30, 2004 at 11 AM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC, with Pastor Bob Laube officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens.Pallbearers will be grandsons, Ken Gabriel, Ronnie Karpinski, Jason Starks, Dylan and David Guistie, and Rusty Crumpton. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 29, 2004 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Burt, 87, of Aiken, SC, wife of the late Ralph Burt, died Wednesday, morning, January 28,2004 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Born in Walterboro, SC, a daughter of the late Lon and Mamie Bailey Smith, she had been a resident of Aiken County for many years where she was a member of Calvary Chapel of Aiken. She was a homemaker and a devoted grandmother.

A daughter, Betty and her husband, James Ritz, Aiken, SC; grandchildren, Rhonda Gabriel, Cathy Karpinski, and Greta Ritz, all of Aiken, SC; eleven great-grandchildren and one great grandchild, survive. A granddaughter, Beth Ritz and a great-grandson, Devin Vollmer, preceded her in death.
