Anita Mae Parrish

Anita Mae Parrish, 58, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2025, The Oaks Assisted Living Facility in Orangeburg. SC following an illness.

Mrs. Parrish was born on December 20, 1966, in Lafayette, Louisiana, Anita was known for her warm heart, radiant spirit, and unwavering dedication to those she loved.

Anita is survived by her beloved husband, James W. Buttrey, and her son, Patrick Lee Parrish, of West Columbia. She was the cherished sister of Nancy Thomas and the proud grandmother of two grandchildren, Leeland James, Paisley Parrish, Ashlyn Tribbey & Alexander Tribbey, Jr.. She is also remembered by her children, Kellus Farmer, Sharon Elizabeth Tribbey, Robert Buttrey and a beloved rainbow baby. Her life was a testament to resilience and love, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her father, Mackie Lee Parrish, and her mother, Nancy Parrish, Anita was a source of light and strength to her family and friends. Her enduring legacy will forever be enshrined in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Anita dedicated much of her career to Vital Records, where she was known for her detail-oriented nature and commitment to excellence. Her colleagues remember her as both an exceptional professional and a dear friend.

In Anita's memory, the family kindly suggests donations be made to a charity of one's choice, in lieu of flowers. Her generous spirit and compassion for others can be honored through these contributions.
