AIKEN, SC- ANN CAFFERTY WITTKAMP, 93, of Aiken, SC died Sunday 14 December 2014 at Trinity on Laurens, Aiken, SC.
The daughter of the late Thomas A. Cafferty and Theresa M. Cafferty, she was born in Richmond, VA in 1921 and lived throughout the United States moving with her husband Louis A. Wittkamp during his assignments in the U.S. Airforce. Ann spent her life as a homemaker and beloved wife and mother of four. She moved to Aiken from Lexington, KY in 2005 and made Trinity on Laurens her home. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Help of Christians Catholic Church and hospital volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital, Lexington, KY.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Louis A. Wittkamp (1994) , and a daughter, Theresa (Bonnie) Low (2003) and a son-in-law, Bernie Low (2009).
Ann is survived by two sons; Thomas Michael Wittkamp (Mimi) of Aiken, SC and Patrick Louis Wittkamp (Mariruth) of Albuquerque, NM; and a daughter, Linda Ann Harris of Lexington, KY. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
A Memorial mass and celebration of her life will take place in Lexington, KY at a later date followed by interment at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, KY.
