Anne Elizabeth Hagelston

AIKEN, SC- Ms. Anne Elizabeth Hagelston, age 71, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015.

Anne was born January 31, 1944 in Danvers, Mass. to the late Paul Joseph Hagelston., Sr. and the late Mary Agnes MacMillan Hagelston. She had made Aiken, SC her home since 1951 and was a communicant of St. Mary's Help of Christians Catholic Church. Anne retired after 36 ½ years with the City of Aiken where she helped build the Recreation Department. She was the recipient of many awards for her work with the city and was instrumental in starting the city Christmas Craft Show.

In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Hagelston and Paul Hagelston., Jr.

She is survived by her brother, Jim Hagelston (Sheron), Deep Gap, NC; two sisters-in-law, Ginny Hagelston, Aiken, SC and Muff Hagelston, Hattiesburg, Miss.; six nieces and nephews; and thirteen great-nieces and nephews.

Final Prayers and Commendation will be held on Friday, October 30 at 11 AM from the graveside of Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
