Annette Bagnal Weese, a beloved member of the Aiken, SC community, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the age of 71. Born in Columbia, SC, Annette lived a life enriched by her deep passion for horticulture and dedication to her family and community.
A resident of Aiken, SC, for many years, Annette spent over three decades sharing her expertise in horticulture with the community through her work at Cold Creek Nursery. Her enthusiasm for plants and gardening extended beyond her professional life, making her a treasured television personality and adviser for the TV program *Making It Grow* through Clemson Extension. Her vibrant spirit was as nurturing and lively as the gardens she tended to, and her presence will be dearly missed.
Annette was preceded in death by her loving parents, Hal R. Bagnal and Mary Jane Bagnal, and her beloved spouse, Mark Stephen Weese. She is survived by her devoted sister, Janette Bagnal, and brother, Greg Bagnal, along with their respective spouses, Norman and Kitty. Annette also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who cherished her guidance and love.
Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Annette are invited to a visitation to celebrate her life on Saturday, July 19th, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at The Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, located at 211 Park Ave SW, Aiken, SC 29801.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Annette's memory may be made to the SPCA, an organization she held dear. Annette's kindness, warmth, and commitment to her passions left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
