Archie H. Wells

Funeral services for Mr. Archie H. Wells will be held Saturday, April 3, 2004 at 11 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Aiken, SC, with Pastor Robert Snyder and Pastor Richard Poock officiating. Interment will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens, West Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends Friday, April 2, 2004 from 6 until 7 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC.

Mr. Wells, 88, of Aiken, SC, husband of Mrs. Ozelia Harman Wells, died Thursday, morning, April 1, 2004.

Born in Williamsburg County, SC, a son the late Robert Eldridge and Denny Jeanette Hodge Wells, he had been a resident of Aiken County since June of 1954, where he retired from E.I. DuPont in 1980 after twenty-nine years of service and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Saluda Masonic Lodge # 103 and was a Scottish Rite Mason.

In addition to his wife of sixty-three and one half years, Mrs. Ozelia Harman Wells, daughters, Delores Williamson, Aiken, SC and Anne Zeigler, West Columbia, SC; brother, L.B. Wells, Sumter, SC; sisters, Mae Belle Jones, Camden, SC, Mary Dunlap, Aberdeen, NC, and Mildred Martin, Big Pine, CA, survive.

The family has requested that memorials in memory of Mr. Wells be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 961 Trail Ridge Rd. Aiken, SC 29803.
