With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ashley Marie Zejewski, 39, who left us on Monday, March 10th, 2025. Ashley was a native of Aiken, SC who left an indelible impression upon each person who came into contact with her infectious smile and loving spirit.
Ashley was a graduate of Aiken High School, Class of 2005. After graduation she pursued her passion for service at the Tri Development Center working in the bakery with her dear friends. Known for her remarkable openness to others, everyone she met she would inquire about their birthdays which sparked her creativity as she diligently hand-crafted greeting cards to celebrate those milestones. Her love extended deeply into the tangible realm of arts, whether through a colored design, or the lilting celebration of life shared while playing the piano.
Her days were lovingly occupied by family—an especially adoring aunt to her nephews, Jonathan, Jacob & Jude Patrick Lee, and dear niece Vivian Lee. Her sense of wonder around trying new things made daily life an adventure, while her love of hugs and taking joy from happiness in others only assured those bonds. Her smile, humor, and endless capacity for love naturally drew people toward her, ensuring she was the crux of a well-loved family and respected in her community.
Ashley leaves behind her treasured mother, Rose Marie Stiefel-Zejewski from Aiken, her sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie Diane and Philip Lee of Aiken, affectionate uncles and aunt, Karl and Julie Stiefel of Graniteville, and Mark Stiefel of Cinnaminson, NJ.
She was predeceased by her father, Edward Ernest Zejewski, and her nephew, Jamie Emerson Lee as well as her niece, Claire Rose Lee.
Her exceptional life’s experiences will be celebrated at a Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 15th, 2025 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, 125 Park Ave SE, Aiken, SC celebrated by the Very Rev.Richard Wilson.
Final rites and commendations will follow in Calvary Cemetery, 1255 University Blvd., Aiken, SC 29801.
