Audrey Elizabeth Gunter

Funeral services for Mrs. Audrey E. Gunter will take place on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 3pm at Talatha Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2pm until the time of the service. GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER is assisting the family.

Mrs. Gunter, 85, of Aiken, died Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Unihealth-PAC, Aiken.

A daughter of the late Fred F. Seeby and Lela Bell Hughes Seeby, she was born in Warrenville and was a life long resident of Aiken County. She was a long time member of Talatha Baptist Church and was formerly affiliated with the Women's Home League and Salvation Army, where she was a Sunday School teacher and a civilian Sergeant Major.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Henry R. Gunter, a son, Fletcher F. Gunter and a grandson, Joseph David Gunter.

She is survived by four sons; David H. (Linda) Gunter, Wagener, SC, Wesley M. (Barbara) Gunter, Aiken, A. Hoyt (Vicky) Gunter, Aiken and James, "Jimmy" Gunter, Aiken. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Jamie (Jill) Gunter, Michael (Karen Collins) Gunter, Diane (Joey) Hadsall, Amanda (Brad) Timmerman, Kristy (Brant) Garvin and twelve great grandchildren.
