Audrey Moseley Roberts

Memorial services for Mrs. Audrey Moseley Roberts will be held Friday, July 29,2005 at 11 AM Town Creek Baptist Church Aiken, SC, with Rev. Eddie Penland officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 28, 2005 from 6 until 8 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC.

Mrs. Roberts, 79, of Aiken, SC, died Tuesday, afternoon, July 26, 2005 at Azalea Woods, Aiken, SC.

Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Birdie Chapman Moseley. She retired from Colonial-Big Star and was a former member of Marion Street Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. Mrs. Roberts loved to work in her yard and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Samuel J. Roberts, III, Shelia daughters, Rose Daugherty, Greg and Pamela R. Anderson, Larry all of Aiken, SC; sisters, Florence Jackson, Evans, GA and Ina Mae Powell, Stiefeltown, SC; brothers, Wilson Moseley and Edward Moseley, both of Aiken, SC; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her husband, Samuel J. Roberts, Jr, son, Gary Wayne Roberts, and brother, Charles ?Honeyboy? Moseley, preceded her in death.
