Barbara Simpson Mcqueen

Graveside services for Mrs. Barbara Simpson McQueen, will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, June 1, 2015 at Forest Lawn Cemetery West, in Charlotte, NC. Officiating will be Rev. Holly Shoaf-O'Kula. GEORGE FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at www.donate.lls.org.

Mrs. McQueen, 91, of Aiken, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Born in Charlotte, NC, she was a graduate of Central High School. She was a retired Federal Employee serving with the Environmentall Protection Agency, the Bureau of Hearings and Appeals and the Internal Revenue Services. Mrs. McQueen was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Aiken. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Charlotte. Mrs. McQueen was preceded in death by her husband, William H. McQueen and a son, Michael Campbell.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Montgomery (Terry) of Aiken; a son, David Campbell (Kathy) of N. Myrtle Beach; a brother, Alexander D. Simpson of Huntersville, NC; grandchildren, Erin Busch (David) of Greenville, Amanda Myers (Christopher) of Aiken, Cori O'Rourke (Liam) of Shrewsbury, Mass., Tate Campbell of Shrewsbury, Mass., Jordan Campbell (Janelle) of Portsmith, Virginia, Lorin White (Elbert) of Tupelo, Mississippi, Jonathan and Jennifer Campbell, both of N. Myrtle Beach and 8 great-grandchildren.
