Barbara Wallace Murdock

Mrs. Barbara Pierce Wallace Murdock, 65, wife of 35 years to John (Jack) Stapleton Murdock passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at her home in Marietta GA.

A Daughter of the late William Andrew Wallace, Jr. and Muriel McDermott Wallace, she was born in Greenville SC and remained there until moving to Aiken finally retiring in Marietta GA. Mrs. Murdock was a loving wife who enjoyed many outdoor sports such as volleyball, tennis and hiking whenever she could. She especially enjoyed snorkeling while on her trips to Hawaii.

Survivors include her husband John (Jack) Stapleton Murdock of Marietta GA, a sister; Jeanne Wallace Connelly of Greenville SC and her niece; Elizabeth Bryan Connelly of Charlottesville VA.

Graveside services will be held at Southlawn Cemetery and Mausoleum, located at 4524 Whiskey Road, in Aiken SC on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM. The family has entrusted GEORGE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 211 Park Ave SW, Aiken SC with the arrangements.
