Barbara A Young

Barbara Ann Raborn Young – 89, Aiken, passed away surrounded by her loving family Friday,
May 16, 2025, at Piedmont Augusta.
Barbara was born in Aiken. She was a graduate of Aiken High School.  In addition to being a
homemaker, she was a devoted Christian, loving wife, and beloved mother. A true southern
belle, whose hair was never out of place and didn’t leave home without being dressed to
the nines.
Barbara was the daughter of the late Guy and Ida Raborn. She was the wife of the late Julian
Earl Young, Sr.
In addition to parents and husband, she was proceeded in death by: brothers Tom Raborn,
Bob Raborn, Cecil Raborn; and sisters Irene Green and Irma White.
Barbara is succeeded by her sons Julian Earl Young, Jr and wife Loretta, Allan Young, fur
baby Babs, her “sweet and nice” niece Judy Cota, and her many other nieces and nephews.
The family thanks Burnette Carter and Jackie Darrisaw for caring for and loving Barbara.
The family is receiving friends Sunday, May 18th, at The Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803) 649-6234) from 3:00 pm until 5:00pm.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 19th at Levels Baptist Church at 11:00am with burial to
follow at the Church cemetery.
