Betty Joe Owens

JACKSON, SC - Betty Joe Owens, age 78, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Trinity on Laurens.

Betty Joe was born in Ellenton, SC to the late John Allen Owens, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Berry Owens. She was a life-long area resident. Betty Joe retired after many years from AT & T Drafting (Bellsouth).

After retirement, she chose to become the care-taker of her loving parents. She lived a full and exciting life, was an avid traveler, hunter and a consummate "shutter-bug" taking photos everywhere she went. She attended several World's Fairs and also raced in the local drag-racing circuit.

She is survived by her brother, John Allen Owens, Jr and his wife, Peggy Owens, of Augusta, GA; and a nephew James Archie Owens, Lexington, VA. As well as her long-time friends and neighbors, Ronnie and Carolyn Rountree, who have always been there for her and family.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 11 AM in Jackson Memorial Park, Jackson, SC.
