Beverly Hendrix Clarke

Funeral services for Beverly Hendrix Clarke will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at 10:00am at George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken. Interment will take place at 2:00pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Camden, SC. Visitation will be this afternoon from 4-6pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Clarke, 82, of Aiken died Saturday at Pepperhill Nursing Home in Aiken.

A daughter of the late George and Mae Hendrix, she was born in Columbia, SC. She spent most of her childhood in Camden and had lived in Langley and Springfield before moving back to Aiken County in 1984. She worked as a purchasing assistant for the Aiken County Public Schools from 1960 through 1984. She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clarke is predeceased by her husband, Andrew B. Clarke, Sr., a brother, G. T. Hendrix, Jr. and a sister, Bernice Littleton. She is survived by her son, Andrew B. Clarke, Jr., Atlanta, GA and two sisters; Louise Sjolin, West Columbia, SC and Elizabeth Watkins, Camden, SC.
