AIKEN, SC—Billie Jo “Jodi” Kocis, age 64, passed away peacefully surrounded by the two people she loved the most and the two people who loved her the most on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA after a brave four-month battle with cancer.

Jodi was born March 16, 1954 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Billie and Ladonna Gibson. She was a resident of Aiken, SC for the past seven years and a member of South Aiken Presbyterian Church. She retired as a medical billing specialist with Aiken Professional Billing.

Jodi will be remembered for her love of helping others. She would go out of her way to help people. She and her husband enjoyed volunteering at the local Salvation Army Soup Kitchen on Park Ave. in downtown and spending time on their patio.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Andrew Kocis; a daughter, Kimberly Lee; a son, Brandon Gibson; step-children, Linda Coughtry and Robert Kocis; grandchildren, Andrew Lee, Allison Lee, and Alexis Kocis; sisters, Karen Gibson, Jenny Gibson, and Debbie Bushardt.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the charity of one’s choice in her memory.

Services for Billy Jo “Jodi” Kocis, have been postponed until further notice. A notice will be published when rescheduled.
