Aiken, SC-Funeral services for Mrs.Bobbie L. Roberts will be held Friday, March 29, 2002 at 3 pm in the southside chapel of George FuneralHomes, Inc., 3175 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC, with Reverend David Holdman officiating. Entombment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Aiken, SC. Pallbearers will be grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 28, 2002 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to The American Lung Association of SC, 1817 Gadsden St., Columbia, SC 29201. Mrs. Roberts, 68, of Aiken, SC, wife of Mr. Donald Roberts, died Wednesday, morning, March 27, 2002 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Born in Hickory, NC, a daughter of the late Henry L. and Ellen Young Lowman she had lived in Aiken, SC since 1953 and retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass after ten years of service. She was a member of Town Creek Baptist Church, Aiken, SC, and enjoyed ceramics.

In addition to her husband of fifty-one years, Donald Roberts, a son, Donald L. Roberts, Aiken, SC, daughters, Patricia Dyches, Jackson, SC, Judie Henderson, Myrtle Beach, SC, and Denece Randall, New Ellenton, SC; sisters, Frances Rowell, and Peggy Dougherty, both of Hickory, NC; and grandchildren, Tony Cumbee, Donald L. Roberts, Jr., Christopher Roberts, Eric DuBose, Tarah Dyches, Angela Dyches, and Candy Randall, and six great-grandchildren, survive Mrs. Roberts.
