Bonnie Watson Squires

Funeral services for Bonnie Watson Squires, 58, of Aiken, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 at Millbrook Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Bill Howard. Burial will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at GEORGE FUNERAL HOME.

Mrs. Squires, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016. Born in Aiken, she was a daughter of the late Derl C. and Jimmie Smith Watson. Mrs. Squires attended Millbrook Baptist Church, she was President of Aiken Able-Disabled, a member of the Governor's Council for the Disabled, and S.A.L.T. Mrs. Squires was also a former Sunday School Teacher at Memorial Baptist Church for over 30 years and was a runner up for the S.C. Ms. Wheelchair. She was also an advocate for the disabled and enjoyed participating in the S.C. Disabled hunts. She was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Gilmore.

Survivors include her husband, David Alan Squires of Aiken; a son, Matthew Justin Squires of Aiken; sisters, Deborah Davis (Charles) of N. Augusta and Terri Garris (Louis) of Aiken and a brother, Dr. Randy Watson, M.D. (Kay) of Aiken and a brother-in-law, Gene Gilmore of Aiken.
