Carol Ann Schander

Mrs. Carol Ann Schander, 63, wife of Larry Schander, Sr., died Thursday, August 29, 2002 at her residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 10am, Tuesday, September3, 2002, at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church with Father Richard D. Harris, celebrant. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 7-9pm at the St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church with a vigil service at 7pm. Mrs. Schander is the daughter of the late Laurence J. and Margaret Story, she was a native of Ottawa, IL, and moved form Beaufort, SC in 1985. She is also predeceased by her brother Dale Story. She was a Communicant of St. Mary?s Help of Christian Catholic Church, Aiken, where she served as a choir member, song leader for 10:30 Mass, an organist and choir leader for several military bases, and served her country in the US Navy. Survivors include her husband, sons; Larry Schander, Jr., Aiken, John Schander, Windsor, Edward Schander, North Augusta, Ronald Craven, Aiken, Thomas Corey, Casey, brother; Richard Story, Omaha, NE, sisters; Lois Story, Helen Story, both of Omaha, NE, Jan Epperson, Blair, NE, Ellen Dudley, Loveland, CO, and grandchildren; Chris Powers, Nathaniel Powers, Elizabeth Schander and Rebecca Schander. The family wishes that memorials be made to Acts of Caring Clinic, P.O. Box 1294, Aiken, SC 29802.
