Charles Stallings

Funeral Services for Mr. Charles Stallings, Jr. will take place on Friday, May 19, 2006 at 5pm at Green Pond Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be: Johnny Hoyle, Ronald Briick, Rick Bernard, Mr. Mack Ross, Sr., Chad Stallings and Fred Stallings. Interment will follow at the Stallings Family Cemetery, Jackson. Visitation will be this evening, 6-8pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken. Mr. Stallings will be placed in Church at 4pm. Memorial donations may be directed to St. Joseph Hospice, 681 Silver Bluff Rd. Aiken, SC 29803.

Mr. Stallings, 69, of Jackson, died May 16, 2006 at his residence. He was born in Ellenton, SC and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. He went to work for Westinghouse at the Savannah River Site in 1954 and retired from the photography Dept. in 1993. He was a member of Green Pond Baptist Church and was a social member of the American Legion Post in Beech Island. He enjoyed collecting things and especially appreciated old cars.

In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by a son, Fred Stallings 1998 and a brother, Johnny Stallings, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Betty Stewart Stallings, two daughters; Yvonne Black, Jackson, SC and Terri Henley, Tennille, GA, two brothers; Larry Gene Stallings, Cincinnati, OH and Alvin Edward ?Eddie? Stallings, Loganville, GA, step-children; Roy Stewart, Aiken, John Hook, Aiken, Elaine Watson, Aiken, Jeanie Mosely, Aiken and Tim Hook, Aiken. Mr. Stallings is also survived by four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
