Charles Lee Swope

Charles Lee Swope, 57, of Aiken, S.C. departed this life on Thursday, March 3, 2016. Born in Augusta, he was a son of the late Robert Lee Swope and Pauline Lyon Swope. He was preceded in death by a sister, Paula Jean Swope.

Charles was a member of Tri-Development Community and lived in a group home on Trollyline Road. He was fun loving and enjoyed being the "entertainer" at all functions he attended.

He is survived by a half sister, Janet Swope Wade of Aiken and her three children, John B. Wade, Marie Wade Stephens and Robert S. Wade and his wife Kathryn.

The family appreciates the love and care shown to Charles over the many years he was a member of the Tri-Development family.

Graveside services will be private on Sunday at Aiken Memorial Gardens., under the care of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME. There will be no visitation, but the staff of Tri-Development and others may view Charles when they wish and sign the Remembrance Book. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tri-Development Center, 1016 Vaucluse Road, Aiken, SC 29801.
