Charlotte Hockett Padgett

Funeral services for Charlotte Hockett Padgett, 74, of Aiken, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the Chapel of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, burial will be private. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cure PSP, 30 E. Padonia Road, Suite 201, Timonium, MD, 21093.

Mrs. Padgett, loving wife of Luther Padgett, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Born in Washington, DC, she was a daughter of the late Marvin and Charlotte Hockett. Mrs. Padgett was a retired banker and was of the Baptist Faith. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, dancing, and having a good time with her friends and family. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Gentry.

Surviving are her loving husband, Luther Padgett, of Aiken, a son, Ricky James (Kathy) of Aiken; step-son, Andy Padgett (Anita) of Aiken; step-daughter, Donna Haynes (Michael) of Leesville; a sister, Dora Childs of Phoenix, Arizona, a brother, Marvin Hockett (Jo Anne) of Butner, NC, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
