Coleen Padgett Neal

AIKEN, SC - Coleen Padgett Neal, age 87, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016.

Mrs. Neal was born May 29, 1929 in Gastonia, NC to the late Charles Ray Padgett and Winnie Hawkins Padgett. She had made Aiken, SC her home since 1978 and was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Aiken. Mrs. Neal worked at Aiken Technical College for many years.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Neal was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Neal, Sr.; two sisters, Joyce Padgett Rogers and Irene Padgett Godfrey; and four brothers, Jack, Bob, Max, and Ray Padgett.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William H. Neal, Jr. (Cathy), of North Augusta, SC and a grandson, William "Trey" H. Neal III (Megan), of Nashville, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 18, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church of Aiken. The Reverend Martha Ebel will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
