Darren Taplin

BEECH ISLAND, SC- DARREN TAPLIN, 64, passed away Friday, October 3, 2014 at his farm.

A native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Darren was the son of the late Roy and Monica Coughlin Taplin. Darren was a United States Honorary Young Horse Handler and a United States Dressage Federation Silver Medalist. His achievements and accomplishments in the sporthorse world and in dressage are innumerable. He will leave his vast experience as a professional horseman with his present and past clients. Darren also will leave a lasting impression in the AKC show ring with his dachshunds.

Darren is survived by his sister Vicki, brother Dale and his partner of 20 years, Nick Bertelli.

A celebration of Darren's life will be held Sunday, October 26th at 2 PM at Xanadu Dressage, 300 Capriole Drive, Aiken, SC 29803.
