David Erick Brady

David Erick Brady, age 77, of Aiken, SC, passed away peacefully the morning of Wednesday, July 17th, 2024, at home.

He was born in Ellisville, Mississippi on Tuesday, July 8th, 1947, to the late Clifton Lee Brady and Marie Erwin Brady.

David was a hard worker from an early age and made a career in logistics. He retired from Energy Solutions, formerly Westinghouse Corp in 2015. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Montmorenci. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing with his sons. David was an avid gardener and took great pride in caring for his home and cats. A devoted husband with a sweet smile, David cherished his family and was known for his kindness, humility, and silver hair. Most importantly, he loved the Lord.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce Dew Brady; two sons, Clifton Eric (Cynthia) Brady and Rick T. (Stefanie) Brady; a stepson, Matthew A. Callas and two stepdaughters, Stephanie Callas, Aimeé (Matt) Carter; his dear sister, Dorothy Dixon; grandchildren, Brittany Brady, Katelin Brady, Megan Brady, Dominic Brady, Devyn Brady, Emilie Brady, Ryker Callas, Ryan Callas, Ashley Winfield, Ashton Winfield, Cataleya English, Elliot Carter; great-grandchildren, Trinity Rowan Sheets, Tatum Rose Sheets, Mary Alice Miller, Jaden Winfield, Braden Winfield and his former wife, Brenda Hoban.

David's heart was broken when he lost his youngest son, David W. Brady, tragically earlier this year. In addition to him as well as his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Brady, sister, Sherry Abston, and brother-in-law, Bill Dixon.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Montmorenci, 44 Old Barnwell Road, Aiken, SC 29803 on Saturday, July 20th, 2024, at 3:00pm officiated by Dr. Ken Dew, and Rev. Steve Cheek. Interment with Military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
