Donald L. Wilson

A memorial service for Mr. Donald L. Wilson will be held Saturday, April 2, 2005 at 2 PM at George Funeral Homes, Southside Chapel, 3175 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC with Pastors Nancy Evans, John Etcherson, and Sherman Brady officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the Cedar Creek Community Center.

Born in Rising Sun, MD, a son of the late Garland and Eva May Anderson Wilson, he had been a resident of Aiken, SC for the last five years and was a member of the Community of Christ Church, Augusta, GA. Don proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard. Following his service in the Coast Guard, he became a Methods and Procedures Writer and retired from Bellsouth after thirty-nine years of service. He enjoyed making jewelry, working with stained glass, wood working and forming both little league and adult league baseball teams.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Kathryn ?Cass? Dickerson Wilson, daughter, Dr. Doria Bowers Dr. Gary Jacksonville, FL; brother, Richard Wilson, Orlando, FL; sister, Joyce Burrell, Sun Valley, ID; grandsons, Leighton and Brandon Bowers, and many nieces and nephews.
