Donnie Ferguson

Funeral services Donnie Edward Ferguson, Sr., 68, of Abbeville, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Chapel of GEROGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, the family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Thompson Ferguson, Jr., Jamie Horne, Eric Ferguson,David Flanagan, Shawn Ferguson and Larry Hawkins. Memorials may be made to ANMED Cancer Center.

Mr. Ferguson passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013. Born in Aiken, he was a son of the late Thompson and Marie Stewart Ferguson. He was a US Air Force Vietnam Veteran and a retired letter carrier with the US Postal Service. He was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church in Abbeville. Mr. Ferguson loved to hunt , fish and drive his tractor. He loved his children and his grandchildren, and was a loving husband.

Surviving are his loving wife, Dale L. Ferguson of Abbeville; sons, Shawn Ferguson of Tampa, Florida, Donnie Ferguson, Jr. (Jamie) of Newnan, Georgia and Thompson Eric Ferguson (Glynna) of Aiken; a daughter Brittany Ferguson of Aiken; a sister, Linda Sue Reynolds, of Wesley Chapel, Florida; 10 grandchildren, Jasmine, Ashley, Cristin, Thompson, Jr., Emily, Sara, Aiden, Tyson, Mason and Sophie Ferguson.
