Dora Mae Newberry

Dora “Dee” Newberry passed away January 23, 2022, in the arms of her husband, Howard, at home.

Dee was born January 19, 1931. She attended the University of Georgia. She worked for Delta Airlines as a stewardess for ten years and then became the United States Representative for Monday’s Clothing. She was an exceptional amateur golfer. She is survived by her beloved husband, Howard Neleigh; her twin sister, Dottie Robertson; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 11, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of St. John’s United Methodist Church with The Rev. Dr. Tim McClendon officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
