Dora Ward Sandberg

A memorial service for Mrs. Dora Ward Sandberg will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at 2 PM at Cumberland Village with Pastor Cathy Cole officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends following the service at Cumberland Village.

Mrs. Sandberg, 77, of Aiken, SC, wife of W. Dale Sandberg, died Friday, morning, November 21, 2003 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Born in Burtrum, MN, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Beulah Clark Ward, she had been a resident of Aiken, SC, since 1953, where she volunteered for Area Churchs Together Serving, was a past Girl Scout Leader and also a Teachers Aide.

In addition to her husband, a son, Daniel O. Sandberg, Smyrna, GA; daughters, Lynn S. McCann, Lithia Springs, GA and Katheryn O?Rourke, Brandon, FL; brothers, Jack Ward, Browerville, MN and Richard Ward, Martinez, GA; sister, Doris W. Solem, Seattle, WA; two granddaughters and one grandson survive.

The family has asked that memorials in memory of Mrs. Sandberg be made to A.C.T.S., 407 Hayne Ave., Aiken, SC 29801.
