Dorise Norris Thomas

October 28, 1946 — May 28, 2025

Dorise Norris-Thomas, age 78, passed away into Eternal Rest peacefully on May 28th, 2025, in Graniteville, SC. She was born in New York, New York to the late Albert and Annie Myers.
She lived a life in service to others. She served her family, church and community well.
She was a woman of God that lived a full life. She retired after an accomplished career of 30+ years at SRS. To many that knew her, she was called Miss De or De. Ms. Norris-Thomas was known for her fierce and loving nature, and taking care of business. She was a fighter and champion while also being very caring and loving.
She is survived by her three sons Patrick Norris, Paul Norris and Jonathan Marcus (Tiffani) Thomas and truly cherished grandchildren. She enjoyed music, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and going to the beach. She also enjoyed spending time outside in her yard and garden. She was well known as a strong and loving mother. Her mothering spirit was shared with many beyond just her kids and family. In her latter stages of life, she truly loved being YaYa and My-Dear to her grandchildren.
The family has chosen to celebrate Ms. Norris-Thomas life privately and request that you respect their privacy during this time. Per her wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all of the caregivers for their love and attention to their loving mother. She is thankful for them.
To honor and celebrate her life, go and live a life in service to others and yourself.

~Allow God to resonate in you and shine through you.

While she will be missed, her spirit will live on in those whose life she touched. Be blessed.
