Dorothy Floyd Flowers

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Floyd Flowers will be held Monday, July 7, 2003 at 4 PM at Memorial Baptist Church, Aiken, SC, with Reverend Jim Kirk officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Flowers will be placed in the church at 3 PM Monday. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 6, 2003 from 6-8 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC. Mrs. Flowers, 83, of Aiken, SC, wife of the late Joe Flowers, died Friday, afternoon, July 4, 2003 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Born in Florence County, SC, a daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret Tilton Floyd, she had been a resident of Aiken, SC, since 1953, where she was a very active member of Memorial Baptist Church and was formerly a secretary at Flowers Paint and Body.

Sons, Jerry W. Flowers, Murfreesboro, TN, Ronald E. Flowers, Hendersonville, TN, and Neil Flowers, Aiken, SC; daughters, Genelle Eadie, Aiken, SC and Jean Bradshaw, Beech Island, SC; sister, Clara Caraway, Greenville, SC; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, survive.

At the request of the family, please make memorials in memory of Mrs. Flowers to the Tri-Development Center of Aiken, P.O. Box 698, Aiken, SC 29802.
