Dorothy Elaine Harkins

Dorothy Elaine Harkins, 69, of Gilmer, Texas passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Elaine was born in Jacksonville, FL. She was a wonderful seamstress for friends and family. She enjoyed cooking. Elaine loved being around any type of water, whether it was fishing at the lake or enjoying the beach. She loved to dance and took pleasure in taking care of others. Elaine loved a good bargain and enjoyed going to yard sales. She enjoyed cheering on her favorite sports team. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Patricia Carson. She is survived by her husband, Phillip Harkins, her children Gary Horner, Jason Horner, and Amanda Horner, her daughter-in-laws Renee Horner and Jennifer Horner, her grandchildren Azaleya, Logan, and Harley, her siblings Vanette Knudsen, Donna Thornton, Lynn Studervant, and Jack and Kimme Fansler, and her nieces and nephews.
