Earl D. Rampe

Funeral services for Mr. Earl Dexter Rampe, Sr. will be held Friday morning at 9:30am at George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken, with Rev. Brancie Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00am until the time of the service. Memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society, PO Box K, Aiken, SC 29802.

Mr. Rampe, 95, of Aiken, died Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A son of the late John and Julia King Rampe, he was born in East Hampton, NY and had lived in Washingtonville, NY before moving to Aiken in 1974.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Ruth and a son, Earl Dexter Rampe Jr., both of whom died in 1996.

He is survived by three daughters; Anita R. Harley, Aiken, Shirley R. Bunger, Newburgh, NY and Joan R. Fogg, Montgomery, NY. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
