Edward Norbert Rich

AIKEN, SC- Edward Norbert Rich, age 81, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Friday, November 20, 2015.

Mr. Rich was born May 10, 1934 in Trenton, NJ to the late Charles Samuel Rich and the late Anna Gleason Rich. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for twenty years retiring as First Class Petty Officer E-6. Mr. Rich enjoyed woodworking, camping, was very hands on, and loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Jeannine Babin Rich; and a brother, Charles Kendall Rich.

Mr. Rich is survived by two daughters, Linda Rich Duckett (Randy) and Dianne Rich Southerland (Jim), all of Aiken, SC; three sons, Edward Steven Rich (Beverly), Aiken, SC, Mark M. Rich (Anne), Edgefield, SC, and Michael P. Rich (Wendy), Evans, GA ; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and his step mother, Helen Evernham, of New Jersey.

A private graveside service will be held with Military Honors accorded by the US Navy.
