Edward L. Thompson

Funeral Services for Mr. Edward Linwood Thompson will be private and are under the direction of George Funeral Homes Southside Chapel, 3175 Whiskey Rd. Aiken, SC. Mr. Thompson, 89 of Aiken, died Saturday at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A son of the late Frederick and Madelyn Thompson, he was born in East Longmeadow, MA and had lived in Zephyrhills, FL before moving to Aiken earlier this year. He was a retired, self-employed electrical contractor.

In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by a daughter, Susan and a son, Jeffrey. He is survived by his wife; Dorothy Mercer Thompson, Aiken, a son; Linwood Thompson, Aiken, a brother; Harold Thompson, Long Branch, WA, a sister; Jessica Hurd, Seal Beach, CA , a grand-son; Mark & Phyllis Styspeck, Sunderland, MA a grand-daughter; Ann Marie and Maurice Fecteau, Gray, ME. Mr. Thompson is also survived by two great-granddaughters.
