Effie Mae Kirkland Burroughs

TRENTON, SC - Effie Mae Kirkland Burroughs, age 76, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 20, 2016.

Mrs. Burroughs was born October 25, 1940 in Grovetown, Ga to the late Albert and Billie Rickerson Kirkland. She has been a resident of Trenton, SC for the past 18 years, having previously lived in Charlotte, NC. She will be remembered for her love for people.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burroughs was preceded in death by two sons, Monty Burroughs and Larry Burroughs; and a sister, Margie Soboba.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Seagrove; two sisters, Martha Roushar, Aiken, SC and Mary Helen Washington (Harvey), Grovetown, GA; and four brothers, Albert James Kirkland, Robert Charles Kirkland, Paul Ivey Kirkland (Kathy), and Jessie Wayne Kirkland, all of Grovetown, GA; three grandchildren, Kristie, Jeremey, and Samantha; one great-grandchild; and a special friend, Brenda Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 26, 2016 the chapel of Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown, GA. The family will receive friends at the cemetery chapel from 1:00 until 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in the cemetery.
