Elva E. Leverett

Elva Leverett, 90, of Aiken, SC, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023.

She was a daughter of the late John Hilton Collins and Louella Lynn Collins. She and her late husband, Kenneth Leverett, founded Leverett Shoes, serving generations of Aiken families.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents and husband, were a brother, Herbert Collins, and sisters, Hilda Edgil, Jean Paris, and June Coursey.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Leverett; son, Kenneth Leverett; a brother and sister-in law, Dr. Larry and Mary Collins; four sisters, Lamana Balboni, Lynn Matthews, Judith Collins, and Dianne Purkett; grandchildren, Paula Leverett Cobb (David), Lauren Leverett Cromer (Matt), and Will Leverett; great-grandchildren, Arden and Maya Cobb, and Baylor and Lathen Leverett; and many loyal friends and former customers and employees of Leverett Shoes.

No services will be held.
