Emma Gloria Arruda Reynolds, 99, widow of the late Paul Houston Reynolds, Sr., passed away peacefully Saturday morning, June 26, 2021 at the Carlyle Senior Care of Aiken following an extended illness.
Born on October 11, 1921 in Ancon, Canal Zone, Panama, she was the daughter of the late Manuel & Adela Badiola Arruda. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Church.
Surviving include a daughter and son-in-law, Lila Adella Marie & Randy Johnson of Pelham, GA; 5 sons and their wives, Richard & Sheila Reynolds of Evans, Ga, Clinton & Deborah Reynolds of LeHigh, Fl., Mark Reynolds, Manuel & Vickie Reynolds and William Reynolds all of Aiken. Mrs. Reynolds is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Reynolds was pre-deceased by a daughter, Emma Gloria Boyd; 2 sons, Paul H. Reynolds, Jr. & John F. Reynolds; a daughter-in-law, Victoria Reynolds; a sister, Elsie Blystone and a brother, Thomas Charles Badiola.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 10:00am at St. Mary Help of Christians Church, 138 Fairfield Street, SE, Aiken, SC 29801 with the Very Rev. Father Gregory Wilson as celebrant. The Rite of Committal will take place following the mass in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Wednesday evening at the Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803) 649.6234. A prayer service will take place at 6:30p.m in the funeral home chapel.
