Eric J Light

AIKEN, SC-- Eric Light passed away October 10 in Aiken, South Carolina. Eric’s unique and quirky sense of humor helped him keep his balance, and in his darkest moments he cared more about others than himself. Eric always had a smile and kind word for anyone who crossed his path and made it his goal to make at least one other person smile every day, a goal he accomplished many times over.

One of Eric’s enduring passions was his woodwork, imagining and creating something lasting and beautiful with his hands from a block of wood. Above all else, Eric deeply loved his wife Sheila and his daughters Abigail and Sarah, who were constantly in his thoughts, heart and prayers. For him, being a husband and father were his greatest accomplishments.

Eric is survived by his family and his sister, Anita Cochran and her husband Bill. A Memorial Service has been set for Friday, October 19th from 5pm to 8pm at The Gaston Livery Stable, 1315 Richland Ave. East, Aiken, SC 29801.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Gaston Livery Stable or The American Cancer Society.
