Eric Gustav Silverberg

Mr. Eric Gustav Silverberg, 80, of Aiken, died Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers following an illness. Services are private and are under the care of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, Aiken.

A son of the late Emun and Maude Austin Silverberg, he was born in College Park, Georgia. After retiring from the US Navy, Mr. Silverberg became a NJROTC instructor with the Aiken County Schools. He was an avid golfer and a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Silverberg.

Survivors include: daughters, Rici Ange and her partner Wayne Filmon and Sandi Wharton and her partner Shane Turcotte all of Aiken; a son, Jon Silverberg Janice of Aiken; 5 grandchildren, Rusty Ange, Billie Ange, Katie Ange, Josh Wharton and Chris Wharton all of Aiken; and 4 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to any Veterans organization.
