Ernest Smokey'' Edenfield

Mr. Ernest ?Smokey? Edenfield, 93, husband of the late Rena Edenfield, died Saturday, August 10, 2002. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2002 at 2 PM at Foreman Memorial Baptist Church, with Rev. Rick Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, Aiken, SC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 13, 2002 from 7-9 PM at George Funeral Homes, Southside Chapel, 3175 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC Memorials may be made to the charity of choice. Mr. Edenfield was born in Aline, GA to the late Sterling T. and Jincy Green Edenfield. He moved to the Aiken area in 1953, retired from DuPont in 1972 as a Machinist. He was a member of Foreman Memorial Baptist Church where he was a former Adult Sunday School Director. Survivors include one son; Larry Samuel Edenfield, Pelion, SC, daughters; Judi Livingston, New Ellenton, SC, Patsy E. Dinkins, Elgin, SC and Wanda Vickers, Columbia, SC, sisters; Vivian Mace Braddy, Winnsboro, SC, and Ovelia Strickland, Panama City, FL, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.
