Evelyn Moore Goodson

Aiken, SC-Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Moore Goodson will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at 2 PM from the graveside in Sunset Memory Gardens, Graniteville, SC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 15, 2003 from 7-9 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC. Mrs. Goodson, 74, of Aiken, SC, wife of the late E. Rucker Goodson, died Saturday, night, April 12, 2003 at St. Joseph Hospital, Hospice Unit, Augusta, GA.

Born in Anderson, SC, a daughter of the late Horace Lee Moore and the late Bertha Sanders Moore, she had been a resident of Aiken, SC, since 1961 and was Baptist. Mrs. Goodson enjoyed working in her yard, bowling, and traveling with her family.

Surviving are a daughter, Deborah G. Alvanos and her husband, Richard, Aiken, SC; brothers, Harold Lee Moore, Warner Robbins, GA and John Ralph Moore, Sr., Anderson, SC; and granddaughter, Robin Elyse Alvanos, Aiken, SC.

The family has requested that memorials in memory of Mrs. Goodson be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Drawer K., Aiken, SC 29802 or St. Joseph Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Rd., Augusta, GA 30904.
