Funeral services for Mrs. Faye Babb Newman will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2002 in Hiram, GA. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 27, 2002 from 3-5 PM at George Funeral Home, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC. The family will also receive friends Monday, October 28, 2002 from 6-8 PM at Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home, 123 Watson, Dallas, GA. Mrs. Newman, 81, of North Augusta, SC, wife of the late Charles Newman, Jr., died Saturday, morning, October 26, 2002 at National Health Care, North Augusta, SC.

Born in Paulding County, GA, daughter of the late Bennett Babb and the late Lila McClung Babb, she was a housewife and made her home in Jackson, SC in 1955, where she remained until 2001. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Jackson, SC. Mrs. Newman?s family was very important to her.

A daughter, Babb Newman Attaway, and her husband, Stewart, North Augusta, SC; son, Charles Stephen Newman, and his wife, Sally Lavender Newman, Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandsons, Camron Attaway and Charles Attaway, and granddaughters, Anne Newman and Katherine Newman, survive Mrs. Newman.
