Flossie Ruth Lawson

Funeral services for Mrs. Flossie S. Lawson will be held Monday, August 16, 2004 at 2 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC, with Dr. Rodney Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens, Aiken, SC. The family will receive friends Monday from 1 PM until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lawson, 76, a resident of Hendersonville, NC, for the last four years and formerly of Aiken, SC, died Saturday, morning, August 14, 2004.

Born in Whitmire, SC, a daughter of the late George Von and Annie Lou Hall Sizemore, she retired from Winn-Dixie in Aiken, SC as a Book Keeper in 1977 after twenty years of service. Mrs. Lawson was a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Daughters, Patricia Harney, Lexington, SC and Sarah and her husband Chris Hemmings, Hendersonville, NC; sisters, Joyce Quinn, Aiken, SC and Jean Scott, Buffalo, SC; and grandchildren, Eric and Evan Harney and Kay and Bob Hemmings, survive.
