Frances Mason Price

Mrs. Frances Mason Price, 95, widow of the late Joe F. Price, Sr. passed away peacefully in her home following a period of declining health.

Mrs. Price was born on August 16, 1928, in Chilhowie, VA, a daughter of the late John Daniel & Ella Nora Bell Ryan Johnson Mason. She was a retired insurance agent with Lyon Croft Weeks & Hunter Insurance, having worked with them for 25 years. After her retirement she went to work for George Funeral Home & Cremation Center where she was a loved and cherished member of the staff as part time secretary for 22 years until she retired in 2018. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years.

She leaves behind her children, Dr. Pamela Price (Mark) Cook of Aiken, SC, Joe F. (Karen) Price, Jr. of Lexington, SC, and Cheryl Price (Roan) Garcia-Quintana of Mauldin, SC; a brother, Fred Albert Mason of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Michele (Stephan) Dukes, Jessica Price & Rachel Price; great-granddaughters, Abigail Dukes & Melissa Dukes; and 2 nephews, Craig & Blake Mason.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was pre-deceased by a granddaughter, Marisa Garcia-Quintana, 2 brothers, John D. Mason, Jr. and William Mason and a sister, Katherine Mason Millard.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 3:00p.m. in Aiken Memorial Gardens, 1523 Edgefield Hwy, Aiken, SC 29801 with the Rev. K. Scott Ayers officiating.

Pallbearers will be the staff of George Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
