Genevieve Goslicky Myers

September 18, 1920 — August 14, 2014

Mrs. Genevieve Goslicky Myers, 93, widow of Harold Myers, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 14th, 2014.

Born in Everson, Pennsylvania, Genevieve was the third of ten children born to the late Lloyd Goslicky and Cecelia Hendrickoska Goslicky. She started work as a young teenager before marrying and raising a family. After her children were grown, Mrs. Myers worked at the Mountain View Rehab center for 25 years before retiring and moving to Aiken in 1992. Mrs. Myers was an avid card and game player. She especially enjoyed playing Bingo and Rummikub with friends. Later in life Mrs. Myers learned to play the organ and often played at home. Mrs. Myers especially loved being an amazing and very loving "Nana" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter; Leslie Myers McCowan (married to John) of Aiken SC, a sister; Dolly Weiggand, and a brother; Lloyd Goslicky both of western Pennsylvania. She is also survived by a grandchild; Meagan Bender (married to Allen) of Savannah GA, and two great grandchildren; Braylon and Bristol Bender of Savannah GA. She was predeceased by her husband of 35 years; Harold Myers, two daughters; Irene Kozar and Cheryl Myers, and a grandson; Ryan McCowan.

Graveside services will be held at Southlawn Cemetery and Mausoleum, 4524 Whiskey Rd. Aiken SC 29803, on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 10:30 A. M. Father Gregory Wilson will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the National Alliance of Mental Illness at NAMI SC, P.O. Box 1267 Columbia, SC 29202
