Grover Mac Alexander

Funeral services for Grover Mac Alexander, 86, of Aiken, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 31, 2017, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, New Ellenton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the care of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church.

Born in Simpsonville, he was a son of the late Grover and Maude Smith Alexander. Mr. Alexander was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. He made his career as a residential home builder and loved restoring classic cars. He was the last of 11 children and was also preceded in death by a grandson, Timothy Toole, Jr.

Survivors include his loving wife, Pauline Alexander of Aiken; daughters Faye Drawdy (Hank) of Aiken and Lynn Alexander of New Ellenton; a son, Bill Alexander (Tina) of Beech Island; a granddaughters, Erika Toole Ramsey (Phillip) of New Ellenton and Leah Defranco of Augusta; 2 great-grandchildren, Brayden and Jace Ramsey of New Ellenton.
